More than a commemorative exhibition, this initiative stands out for the way it recounts key moments in the sport entity’s history. The exhibition explains how sport was a key element for the working class one hundred years ago, and highlights the fundamental role played by associations in Catalonia.

One of the central episodes featured in the exhibition is the loss of the Mar Bella facilities in 1950 and how, a decade later, in 1960, the old pool was opened, marking a moment of splendour for the club. This led it to become a leading entity in Catalonia and Spain, with distinguished figures from the world of swimming and waterpolo.

Today, the Club Natació Poble Nou continues to be a key sporting entity in Barcelona, with venues such as Can Felipa and the Pavelló de la Mar Bella, where disciplines such as waterpolo, rugby and artistic swimming are practised.

The exhibition will be on until 30 September.
