Presentation of the 25th Menorca - Sant Joan Regatta, Alfons XIII Trophy
The event features 50 boats, which will be covering the 140 nautical miles between Barcelona and Mahon from Thursday.
The 25th Menorca – Sant Joan Regatta, Alfons XIII Trophy was presented at the Club Marítim de Maó on Tuesday. The event is being organised by the Club Marítim de Maó and the Reial Club Nàutic de Barcelona.
The event is sponsored by the Fundació Foment de Turisme de Menorca, in collaboration with Mahon City Council, and gets under way at 12 noon on Thursday, with the 50 boats signed up for the regatta setting from Barcelona. The participants will be competing over the 140 nautical miles that link the two ports.
The trophy ceremony is on Saturday afternoon and will be followed by a celebration at the Club Marítim de Maó, rounding off an edition that underlines the importance of Menorca on the Mediterranean sailing calendar.
