The Nose Race 2024 to see out the year with record participation levels
With 12,000 people registered to run the popular 10 km race, coupled with a 5 km event reserved for elite athletes, the event becomes further established as an essential run in the city’s sports calendar.
The event further establishes the city as a world leader in athletics, with records and a high volume of women participants, this year accounting for 35%, with over 4,000 women runners setting off from the start line.
Notable elite athletes taking part in the 5 km run include Beatrice Chebet, double gold medallist in the Paris Olympic Games, and the likes of Medina Eisa and Thierry Ndikumwenayo, the goal being to break international records.

- 4.20 pm: Start of the international 5 km event (elite athletes).
- 5.15 pm: Start of the 10 km popular run.
