NUST Network Annual Meeting "10 years working in network: from reconciliation to social responsibility of care"
On Tuesday June 7th the annual Meeting of the NUST Network was held in Barcelona Activa. The Meeting, which took place during the celebration of the 10 years of the NUST Network, had different spaces: the inaugural conference, the discussion on the history and evolution of the Network, networking during the pause, the presentation of good practices and the dialogue "From reconciling to social responsibility of care".
The Meeting, framed in the Time Week, was opened by Jordi Via, Commissioner of Cooperative, Social and Solidary Economics and Consume of Barcelona City Council, who stressed, among others, the following:
· As Hartmut Rosa stated, we live in a time of acceleration as a reflect of the ecological, financial and personal crisis.
· We need to appropriate our time, introducing elements of democratization in the economy and culture.
· We must provide criteria of social, economic and ecological responsibility to boost a plural economy.
· The economy and the company must serve people and the NUST Network provides examples on what to do in the business world.
Next, the inaugural lecture by CTESC was carried out to expose the recent report on the management of paid working time in the context of the time reform. Then there was the discussion on the history, evolution and challenges of the NUST Network, by Nestle, Progress and Ops Neo, companies of the Motor Group of the NUST Network.
After networking in the middle of the meeting, in which the participants had the opportunity to see the exhibition of 10 years of the NUST Network, began the panel with presentations of good practices of the winning companies of the 4th edition of the Barcelona Award for Innovative Company in Reconciliation and Time: La Ciutat Invisible, Softmachine, Fundació Joia and Henkel. Finally, there was the dialogue "From reconciliation to social responsibility of care", with the participation of DDiPAS (Directive and Professional of Social Action’ Women) and AHIGE (Equality Men Association of Catalonia). The closure was in charge of Ester Vidal, Director of Services of Cooperative, Social and Solidary Economy and Consume of the City of Barcelona.
