Activities in the Eixample district

- 11 March: Taster session: “Gender microaggressions” At the Bascònia Senior Citizens’ Neighbourhood Centre, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Gender microagressions have become ‘normalised’ within society to the point where they are so commonplace across different domains such as the home, work environments, on the street, and in society in general that we don’t even notice them. This talk aims to make the power relations that underpin this process and the different types of gender microaggression more visible, and to understand how they impact on our health and self respect as well as to share tools for identifying and defusing these forms of violence. The aim of the talk is to provide a space for exchange, reflection and debate on the value of taking a total health approach for all women, looking at the effect of gender inequalities on women’s health and the impact of the Covid-19 crisis, which has exposed the unprecedented health, social and economic crisis in which, once again, women have been the most adversely affected.
