Organisations and facilities in Sants-Montjuïc are joining in with 25N, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, with a special programme of over twenty activities throughout the month of November.

Commemoration of 25N with a special theatre production Dones sense veu, by the theatre group from the Comerç de Ciutat Vella centre for the elderly and the CapaMar group, from the Sants-Montjuïc Programme for Senior Citizens. Based on real-life accounts, the show denounces the violence suffered by elderly women throughout their lives.

Screening of a documentary produced through the debating space ‘Fem Safareig a la Marina’, headed by CooperAcció and La Maria Community Development Plan
With an eco-feminist perspective, and through the experiences of the women interviewed, this documentary looks at various moments and historical chapters in the neighbourhood to generate a meeting space to talk about changes in the local area, the struggles of local people, the community and care network, the role of women in the neighbourhood and more.
