In a move to foster employment among the under-35s, all the city’s InfoJove points are offering a Job Club service with collaboration from Barcelona Activa. The goal is to provide personalised advice, information and guidance for young jobseekers between the ages of 16 and 35.
The Job Club is an initiative started by Barcelona City Council at the city’s InfoJove young people’s information points and is structured into three areas:
- Identification of the needs and interests of each person requesting the service and personalised support until they find work.
- Programming of quarterly information capsules to respond to the new labour paradigm.
- Monthly work training for young people between 16 and 29 in the process of changing profession. In addition, Skills labs, offering sessions where people between the ages of 16 and 35 can use interactive tools to identify and develop key skills for the labour market.
