City facilities and organisations are joining in with the message for 25N through a special programme in November. Most of the activities are free, but some charge for admission and many require advance booking.
Ciutat Vella
The main event is in front of the Barceloneta community centre on 25 November, from 12 noon. Local people will be able to enjoy an extract from Etéreas, the contemporary and urban dance piece by Cia. Kiko López. After that some quantitative and qualitative data for the neighbourhood will be given, highlighting the feminisation of poverty, taken from the support provided for local women by the community centre and the Information and Labour Guidance Point (PIOL). At 12.30 pm a manifesto will be read out and a minute’s silence observed in memory of women murdered.
Neighbourhood facilities and organisations are adding their weight to the anti-sexist message with a string of activities. Check out the programme for details.
L’Eixample
The main event for this year’s 25N in L’Eixample is in the Dreta de l’Eixample neighbourhood on Friday, 24 November. The activity starts in the plenary chamber at the District Office at 5.30 pm, with institutional speeches and the reading of a manifesto by the Eixample Women’s Council. Students from the Municipal Music Conservatory will also be performing music and the façade of the building will be lit up in purple. After that, at 6.45 pm, the exhibition “Eixamplem identitats” will be inaugurated at the Mercat de la Concepció, featuring artists’ creations on the prevention of male violence, made by students from schools belonging to the Eixample Network of Schools for Equality and Diversity.
Facilities and organisations in L’Eixample will also be offering an extensive programme. Check out all the activities and take part!

The feminist commission for the Castellers de la Vila de Gràcia (human towers group) will also be reading out a manifesto.
Yet the programme of activities is much broader. On 24 November the Gràcia fab lab is organising an activity to create inclusive posters with recycled cardboard using a laser cutter.
