The Barcelona Circuit against Sexist Violence is to improve the coordination of existing resources, tackling a complicated blight which affects 141,350 women in the city every year.
Women. The districts of L’Eixample and Les Corts are the first ports of call for the project ‘En moviment[s]. Dones de Barcelona. 40 anys i més. 1976-2016’, which includes an exhibition, round tables and film forums.
Feminism. The city is regaining the memory of women and looking at their role in collective struggles.
International. Up until Thursday, 13 October, the city is hosting the 54th International Association of Women Police Conference, with over four hundred policewomen from all over the world in attendance.
Social rights. The measure is intended to combat the feminisation of poverty, as 94% of single-parent families are made up of women with children.
Equality. The majority of people using the service were women requesting information but the stand also provided support in eleven cases of sexist violence.
Economy. The bases of the fifth edition of the Barcelona Award Innovative Company in the City Conciliation and time in Barcelona are already published. Proposals may be submitted from 1 to 31 October 2016.
