The activities or projects eligible for the subsidy must promote initiatives of public or social interest for the city of Barcelona and aim to contribute to achieving the objectives of the Social and Solidarity Economy Strategy in Barcelona 2030 – Reactivation and strengthening of an economy for life in the city, as well as those of the Social and Solidarity Economy Promotion Plan for Barcelona 2024–2027. Altogether, this aligns with subsidy line 4335, which supports the cooperative, social and solidarity economy, as part of Barcelona City Council’s Strategic Subsidies Plan, under which this funding program is included.

As set out in the Barcelona Strategic Subsidies Plan, this call incorporates and reinforces the cross-cutting strategic objectives of promoting sustainability and climate policies, responsible consumption and the social economy in all municipal subsidies, as well as the inclusion of gender, ecosocial and intercultural perspectives.

Eligible projects must be related to the three strategic objectives of the PIESS 2024–276:

• Promoting greater resilience and scaling of the social and solidarity economy strategy (ESS) through diverse models
• Facilitating access to the social and solidarity economy strategy (ESS) for the entire population
• Promoting mainstreaming and recognition of the social and solidarity economy strategy (ESS) in public policy and socio-economic activities

Eligible projects and/or activities, especially those involving intercooperation, must also be related to the strategic lines, support mechanisms and city objectives of the ESSBCN2030 Strategy. They must also be linked to the city projects and the working groups responsible for developing them. 

The beneficiaries of these subsidies shall be those specified in the guidelines and in the call for applications.

The application period will be 30 calendar days, starting from the day after publication of the call in the BOPB. If the final day of the application period falls on a non-working day, the deadline will be extended to the next working day. 

In accordance with the provisions of Article 14 of Law 39/2015, of 1 October, on the Common Administrative Procedure for Public Authorities, all legal persons must complete and submit their application through the City Council e-office: https://seuelectronica.ajuntament.barcelona.cat/oficinavirtual/ca, using the specific forms provided in the call and following the instructions set out in this procedures portal.

Applications may only be submitted in person by natural persons, in accordance with the provisions of Article 14.1 of Law 39/2015 of 1 October, on the Common Administrative Procedure for Public Authorities, without prejudice to the provisions of Article 16 of Law 39/2015.
