Renew your toys
L'edició passada del Renova les teves joguines va estar activa des del 8 de novembre fins el 22 de desembre de 2021.
There are times during the year when the number of toys bought increases considerably, and one of them is Christmas. Advertising plays an important role in this, encouraging people to always buy the latest things. Renew your toys aims to provoke change in the way we consume, making it more responsible and consistent with a lifestyle that respects social and environmental values.
This initiative to encourage conscious consumption and waste prevention takes place in May and December, offering an alternative to shopping in general and shopping at Christmas time in particular.
The current health situation means for the time being it is impossible to hold the face-to-face exchanges and, for that reason, we can’t exchange clothes either. We started an online line of work last year which we continue to promote with a double aim:
- To grow and strengthen the network of participants
- To provide collaborators with the tools for running virtual activities.
What can I do with the toys I don’t play with anymore?
You have other options besides exchanging toys at Renew:
- Take them to the city’s green points.
- In addition, at the Fab Labs across the city, you can print for free and in 3D any parts you need to repair your toys, such as buttons, wheels, laces, etc.
