Strategic plans

Barcelona is a densely built city that strives every day to ensure that nature can be found in many parts of the city.

In addition, the city is committed to ensuring that these areas of vegetation are high-quality spaces that provide all the environmental and socio-cultural benefits to ensure residents’ health and well-being.

The City Council has put in place a variety of plans, programmes and government measures to expand and maintain all this green infrastructure.

Below are the main strategic documents governing the municipal policies on the past, present and future management of all the green spaces in Barcelona.
