School activities
How does Barcelona work?
This programme offers educational activities on urban biodiversity for all levels, from preschool to baccalaureate and intermediate level vocational training.
Restoring Nature in School Playgrounds
This training is aimed at schools wishing to have more natural and drought-resistant playgrounds in order to promote learning and community.
Plant donations to schools
More Sustainable Schools offers plants every academic year to foster educational projects at schools that aim to attract greater biodiversity and work on curricular aspects related to nature and caring for living beings.
Compost and mulch
Schools in the More Sustainable Schools network can request compost and mulch during the first term of each school year. Compost comes from organic plant waste from municipal parks and gardens, and mulch is made of ground-up woody remains from tree pruning in Barcelona.
Programme of School Activities (PAE)
This programme offers a variety of activities related to biodiversity and urban spaces.
Training for participating teachers
Training courses related to greenery targeted at teachers at schools in the More Sustainable Schools network.
