The Palau del Marquès d’Alfarràs opens to the public for 48H Open House Barcelona
The 16th edition of the architecture festival will be held on the weekend of 25 and 26 October, this year under the motto "Sensing Architecture". The Palau del Marquès d'Alfarràs, located in the Laberint d'Horta park, will be one of the buildings opening its doors to the public.
The building, located in the Laberint d’Horta park, joins this architectural festival that opens conversations about architecture, about the city, about how we inhabit and transform the spaces that surround us. The 16th edition seeks to think about architecture from the senses and sensations, because architecture is not only what we see, but also what we feel, smell and touch.
Which spaces make us feel comfortable? What makes us feel uneasy? What is etched on our memory when we leave a place? Under the motto Sent l’Arquitectura, (Sensing Architecture), the festival invites us to pay attention to these everyday sensations and rediscover our surroundings.
Visits to the space are guided, no prior booking required. Visits will be held in groups, approximately every 20 minutes, between 10:00 am and 7:00 pm.
