Ecovincles allotment
This is a plot measuring 300 m² with community terraces for crops. The entire harvest is donated to the neighbourhood food bank. This space is equipped with composters and a vermicomposter, a herb garden and structures to promote beneficial fauna.
The goal of the EcoVincles project is to revitalise an unused area around the Prosperitat Casal de Joves youth centre with the active participation of the neighbourhood residents. By creating a community urban allotment and a space for activities, it aims to become a hub in the Prosperitat neighbourhood and part of the collective heritage worth preserving. The allotment grows organic seasonal, local vegetables and medicinal plants, and it includes a rainwater collection and filtration system with drip irrigation for the entire crop area. It is a space that is open to the neighbourhood, whose development will depend on the residents’ involvement in the space’s uses and activities.
