Description of the area:
This plot measures 542 m² and is located at number 21 Carrer de la Verneda in El Clot neighbourhood. This space is next to the allotment, accessed via number 241 Carrer de Bilbao, is currently being used, and there are plans for them to become a single space once construction is completed. The space includes ten planters, 15 crop tables adapted for people with reduced mobility, two wooden bicycle parking areas, a wooden bench and a storage shed.
Description of the organisation:
| The new Associació Hort del Clot’s project for this space is participatory and open to everyone interested in contributing and learning. This is a new model of a community green space which is also used as an environmental education venue and a place where citizens can come together. It devoted to research and experimentation with the goal of promoting green zones and sharing needs and aspirations to rise to the challenges of today's climate emergency. This model was developed thanks to the participation of local residents, stakeholders in the district, experts in different fields and urban agriculture experts. |
