Els Pebrots allotment
This allotment is located on a triangular 768 m2 plot on the side of Diagonal, at the corner of Carrer Fluvià and Carrer Pallars. The space has seven groups of large planters. Every planter has a tank that collects runoff water and a water pump to irrigate the allotment with collected rainwater or excess irrigation water. It also has benches and selective recycling bins.
Founded in 1978, it has managed the Casal del Barri de Diagonal Mar since it opened in 2006. It is deeply rooted in the neighbourhood and has a strong knowledge of the area and its network of associations. It promotes community involvement and volunteering and encourages civic participation and local engagement. It actively promotes a culture of sustainability. The community allotment project will help promote urban greenery and care for nature by fostering shared responsibility, encouraging active citizenship, and regenerating the space by integrating it into neighbourhood life as a driver of social vitality.
