To find these adapted reading books in the catalogue, enter the language as the search subject followed by "texts for foreigners", for example Italian texts for foreigners.
The libraries also stock easy readers which are books in Catalan and Spanish that have been carefully produced to be read and understood by people who for various reasons have difficulty reading. The Gòtic-Andreu Nin Library has the biggest collection.
And how about comics? Images can make it easier to understand the text. The Ignasi Iglésias-Can Fabra Library specialises in comics.

If you enjoy literature, you will find an extensive selection of novels, and not only in Catalan and Spanish.In many libraries you will find novels in English, German, Arabic, Basque, French, Galician, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese and Russian, among others.
To find novels in the catalogue:
- Search "N" with the option reference number
- Click on Limit/sort and select the district and the language
You will also find newspapers and general interest magazines in other languages that will help you to improve your language skills and knowledge of international current affairs, such as Afrique Magazine, Al-Mushahid Assiyasi, Der Spiegel, L'Espresso, Le Monde, Le Nouvel observateur, Paris match, Stern and Time.
