Waste Prevention Plan
The Waste Prevention Plan is an educational initiative that invites schools to think about the generation of waste and its social and environmental impacts. It is also a proposal for empowering the educational community and the students in particular, for moving towards a zero waste culture by means of a gradual process of changing habits and values. The best waste is waste that is not created!
The objectives of the Waste Prevention Plan micro-network are to:
- Learn more about the waste generated in schools by compiling and analysing data.
- Introduce waste prevention practices that are right for and adapted to the context of each school.
- Encourage the whole education community to participate in the Waste Prevention Plan.
- Exchange experiences between schools and other entities that could inspire.
- Offer a contextual framework for analysing the entire product process, from the original materials to their recycling or degradation.
